Green Hill Church of Christ    

The Green Hill Church of Christ, organized in 1909, is a biblically-sound congregation, located in one of the fastest growing cities in Tennessee.  It is our utmost concern to worship God as closely as possible, as did the New Testament church in the first century.  We use the examples of the Bible to conduct our services.  Members partake of the Lord's Supper at the Sunday morning service.  There are prayers, and reading of scripture.  August Ruff, our minister, presents a scriptural lesson at the Sunday morning and evening services.  The Lord's invitation is extended at all services.  Our song service is acapella.  We feature Bible classes for all ages on Sunday morning (prior to worship services), and Wednesday evening.  We pray that you will be encouraged by our service, and will feel free to ask us any questions you might have.

The leadership structure at Green Hill Church of Christ is inspired by the New Testament church.  Our elders, Richard Kendall and Houston Stanton, are responsible for the spiritual well-being of the congregation.  Green Hill is currently served by eight deacons, who report to the Elders.  We periodically conduct Men's Business Meetings on behalf of the business affairs of the congregation.  All affairs of the congregation are openly discussed with our members.

STEPS OF SALVATION

1) One must hear the gospel, for "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). 

2) One must believe, for "without faith it is impossible to please him" (Hebrews 11:6). 

3) One must repent of past sins, for God "commandeth all men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30). 

4) One must confess Jesus as Lord, for he said, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 10:32). 

5) And one must be baptized for the remission of sins, for Peter said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins." (Acts 2:38).

6) Remain faithful; ".....be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life", Revelations 2:10
